Position Description

Salary: 40-45K and bonuses

Our client is a multi-platform operator producing editorial content and associated commercial services on analogue TV, digital TV, online and on mobile phones with a combined audience of 13 million people every week. The Sport & Telephony Team is at the heart of this cross-platform offering and accounts for around £6m of business annually. The team is led by the Head of Sales who is supported by two business managers – the Mobile Product Manager and Sports Business Sales Manager who in turn are assisted by a Sales Support Coordinator and six customer service operators who are responsible for creating advertiser copy and booking/uploading campaigns.

Our client’s mobile portfolio comprises three areas:

• Rabbit Chat & Date TV Channel:

The role entails:
• Managing day-to-day running of mobile portfolio
• Overseeing provision and promotion of mobile services across all platforms
• Working to quarterly/annual financial and performance targets
• Managing external relationships with aggregators, clients, networks and various third-party suppliers (including negotiation of contracts)
• Extensive internal liaison with all other departments (particularly Editorial, Technical, Finance and Client Services)
• Identifying opportunities and overseeing development through to launch
• Overseeing financial reporting and invoicing
• Keeping abreast of all activity in the mobile arena that may have a bearing on mobile business
• Providing weekly reports, stats and revenue expectations
• Working with Head of Sales to identify and develop mobile strategy in the coming 3/5 years

Candidate should have:
• Minimum two years mobile experience
• Complete understanding of mobile content space
• Established industry contacts
• The ability to work off own initiative and also as part of a team
• A confident and professional manner
• Enthusiasm, tenacity and the ability to respond quickly to a changing environment
• The ability to seek out new business opportunities and see projects through to fruition
• A sophisticated and mature sales approach
• Excellent account management skills
