Position Description

CommScope, a world leader in cable and connectivity solutions for communications Networks, has an immediate opening for a Programmer Analyst – Web & Collaboration at our Corporate office in Hickory, NC. This position will focus on the analysis, design, development, testing, support, improvement and troubleshooting of web & collaboration based applications used by all areas of the business.

Responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and understanding business requirements for web & collaboration based applications to ensure that business expectations are met or exceeded
- Working with the rest of IT to ensure that successful solutions are delivered
- Providing innovative solutions by staying abreast of current technology
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree is required. Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical degree preferred.
- 5 years related experience required. Related experience must include analysis, design, development, maintenance, enhancement, and production support for enterprise class web and collaboration organization.
- Must have knowledge of at least 10 of the following applications – MS Office Suite(Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access), MS Project, Lotus Notes, Erwin, Visio, IIS, Apache, MS Site Server, MS Transaction Server, MS Front Page, PL/SQL, SPSS, SAS, Telnet, Rational, Spark, RapidSQL, SharePoint Designer.
- Must know at least 1 of the following languages – MS Visual Studio, C#, .NET, VC+, VJ+, VB, ASP, Java, EJB, JSB, ABAP/4, Vi, XML
- Experience in developing solutions with ASP.NET, C#, Windows SharePoint Services, relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), HTML, and XML preferred.
- Strong Project Management and time management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
