Position Description

CommScope, a world leader in cable and connectivity solutions for communications Networks, has immediate openings for 2 IT Auditors at our Corporate office in Hickory, NC. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing complex operational audits of data processing environments and systems & evaluations of procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security.

The following 2 positions are open in the Internal Audit Department and will be located in Hickory, NC:

Responsibilities:
Performs complex operational audits of data processing environments and systems and evaluations of procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Determines and recommends improvements in current standard operating procedures. Develops and executes risk-based information technology (IT) general audits as part IT General Computer Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley assessments. Provides remediation testing and recommendations, risk identification, and opportunities for improvement in the IT control environment.Responsibilities include monitoring changes in the Company’s IT control environment that could impact financial reporting controls. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish work efforts. Work may include providing consulting services to the organization’s management and staff; providing key input to development of the annual audit plan; and providing training and coaching to internal audit staff on information technology matters. Works independently and under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required with an emphasis in information technology or business preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience or a CPA and a minimum of 2 years related experience is required.
- Relevant experience must include Information Technology audits, disaster recovery, or change control environments of a large company.
- Prior experience with a major accounting firm or manufacturing company is preferred.
- Knowledge of COBIT is required and knowledge of SAP OR SQL, UNIX, Solaris, and Microsoft Active Directory are required.
- CISA or CISSP certification is preferred.
- Database and Business Objects experience is a plus.
- Candidate will be required to travel up to 30% of the time both domestically and internationally.
- Strong Microsoft product skills and excellent communication and analytical skills are required.
