We are currently seeking a dynamic, high-energy Outside Plant Engineer and Estimator to join our DAS Solutions team in Cary, NC.
Summary:
The Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer and Estimator reviews and develops cost schedules for all outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Outside Plant/Fiber (OSP) deployments, feasibility studies, and request-for-proposal responses. The Outside Plant Engineer and Estimator develops engineering and construction Scopes of Work (SOW) and coordinates bidding work to OSP engineering and construction firms. The Outside Plant Engineer and Estimator supports costs development of OSP project components by assessing the requirements, attending site walks or pre-proposal meetings, soliciting quotations and contractor support or independently developing cost. The person filling this role must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages from concept, to formal design, to construction.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in OSP engineering, estimating and construction project management
• Minimum of 2 years experience in DAS and/or wireless communication development strongly preferred
• 2 year associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Project Manager certification preferred
• Experience in building construction processes and methods including electrical, mechanical, fire protection and general contracting
• Building Industry Consultants Services Inc (BISCI) certification, preferred
