Business Development Director - Digital Media - ARN Consulting

Position Description

Location: West London
Salary: 80K

Our client is a global media and entertainment company with 29 network entertainment brands on over 100 channels in over 170 countries in 33 languages for over 1.5 billion subscribers around the globe. They produce both original programming and acquire content from producers worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Support our client’s Business Development efforts from London:
• Developing new premium licensing opportunities for their portfolio of brands across the international landscape outside the US, acting as principal with respect to new business development opportunities
• Identifying upcoming strategies, new business opportunities and partners for program sales and licensing efforts,
• Working with the VP of International Licensing and Creative Director for International Licensing on the development of licensing programs.
• Driving development of the company brands across the Canadian marketplace, providing oversight of the Canadian Joint Ventures
• Overseeing ownership in Canadian Joint Ventures,
• Managing tax, financial planning and accounting treatment of the JV’s
• Tracking performance of the Joint Venture with respect to program sales agreements.
• Leading the evaluation of program sales and licensing performance to achieve operational excellence
• Tracking programming sales performance managing communication and tools for investment tracking with sales teams on regular basis
• Leading budgeting and long range planning processes with sales teams around the globe.

Requirements
• Bachelors degree and or equivalent experience required.
• MBA Preferred
• 5-8 years of work experience required in strategy, business development, consulting or marketing
• Solid attention to detail a must
• Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive individual who is a self-starter with great follow-through and attention to detail
• Strong expertise in Microsoft excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
