Network Developer - IP HARVEST

Position Description

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN PLANO, TEXAS.

Responsibilities/Experience

* Software & Network Developer with strong C and C++ skills responsible for design and development of Multimedia applications and drivers.
* Responsibilities include design, development, & testing of network interfaces and drivers in C and C++ programming languages.
* Candidate must be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in the use of C/C++ programming language.
* Candidate must have strong problem solving skills as well as good algorithms and data structures background.
* Candidate must have experience integrating various software and hardware components for a complete solution.
* Candidate must have experience using Open Source tools (specifically GNU tools) & Linux OS.

OTHER Knowledge & Skills Required:

* Someone who has built,tested, and shipped,a network based software application, preferably using C+
* Experience comprehending an OO design and writing C+ subclasses to extend it, preferably in a stream or sockets environment
* Previous experience in extending Live555 or some other streaming media server, preferably using g+
* Experience implementing and testing a protocol or application on top of UDP in a Linux environment, preferably in C+
* Someone who has read and understood Stevens.
* Someone who has worked in a small company environment and been responsible for himself and his own resources.
* Someone who can set up his own network test in the lab.
* Someone who has good communication and organization skills.
* Someone who understands and appreciates deadlines.
