Job Description:
- Lead a team of software development engineers that are responsible for the media server component of Avaya Voice Portal (AVP).
- The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must be able to work effectively cross-geographically and cross-culturally, providing solutions to a diverse set of complex problems.
- Specifically, the candidate must work closely and productively with other related teams in Milpitas, CA, Denver, CO and Pune, India.
- The candidate must have solid development process and leadership skills and should have taken a several software projects from requirements to product realization.

Basic Qualification:
- The candidate must have a BS degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a software development position.
- The successful candidate must have a high degree of credibility both as a technology leader and a business leader.

Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge of SIP, H.323, CCXML and Voice XML is preferred.
- Knowledge of SMIL, Speech Recognition, Boost Libraries, web services and Service Oriented Architecture concepts is a plus.
- A solid management track record demonstrating the delivery of a complex software product meeting all timeliness and quality goals is a plus.
