1 Abstract
The purpose of this document is to describe the Functional Role (FR) of Field Operations Technician (s) within the Mobily EOT (Managed Service Telecom Operations Practice (MS TOP)
2 Responsibility and authority
2.1 Responsibility
The Field Operations Technician is a team member responsible for assignment such as :
 Corrective and preventive Maintenance of RBS, Transmission Equipment and E/M
 Attend all MDT related tasks
 Outage Reporting
 Escalation of any deficiencies in the equipment
 Adherence to Processes
2.2 Authority

The Field Operations Technician reports to the Field Operations Team Leader

3 Specific Competence elements
The following specific competence elements apply to the Field Operations Technician functional role.
 Knowledge of Telecom networks
 Ericsson Safety regulations for Field Operations
 Dispatch & Work Order handling
 Corrective & Preventive Maintenance
 Other assignment as directed
4 General competencies
The following general non-technical competencies shall be fulfilled by the System Engineer functional role
4.1 Education
• Have a diploma or degree within Telecommunication, Information Technology and Electronics or similar.
• Have a minimum 2 years of experience in as a Field Operations Technician in a mobile network environment
4.2 Language
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• (Other language)
4.3 Human
• Good Team player
• Result oriented
• Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
