Executive Technology Director - frog design

The Executive Technology Director will lead software development projects assigned to Austin, Texas technology team. The ETD is also responsible for defining the software engineering practice for frog design. The ETD will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, the following:

-Lead and cultivate the Austin, Texas technology team which has a focus on software development service offerings,
-Develop and close new business relationships with clients in conjunction with the Business Development team,
-Ensure that software development methodology and process is followed
-Ensure best practices for development tools and programming/testing standards
-Ensure that estimation and scope management best practices are followed
-Ensure that the Austin technology team produces work at the highest quality,
-Ensure that the teams’ utilization is at peak capacity in a creative consultancy business model and
-Ensure the group is efficient and profitable and that clients needs are met or exceeded.

The ETD will provide a central, savvy voice to the software development aspect of the company. The ETD shepherds software development efforts which includes:

-Business planning
-Cultivation of skills and talent including the selection of technology platforms to invest in
-Mentoring and guidance for the Technical Architects, Technical Directors, and Principal Technologists
-Creative concepting using application architecture presentations
-Fostering ongoing improvements in software development processes and methodologies
-Ensuring that the software development group priorities are aligned with greater frog creative objectives

To be considered, candidates must have software platform and systems experience in at least two of the following domains:

-Desktop or Consumer software
-Mobile Applications
-Content Management Systems & Portals, Rich Internet Applications, and Web 2.0

Qualifications:

-Currently a CTO/CIO/VP level
-Significant software engineering leadership experience (8-10 years leading software production teams to ship software systems)
-Business Development
-Develop and Manage Projects and Budgets
-Ensure overall customer satisfaction
-Scope Management and Client Expectation setting
