The Project Manager defines, plans and manages projects according to planned milestones and within budget. Helps to define the project’s goals, objectives, and scope; prepares project definition, project budgets, identifies project resources, manages quality, risk, issues, and schedule throughout the project. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assigning project tasks and project resources. Must maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholder organizations. Manages project change control process. Coordinates all testing, cutovers, training and transition to support. Follows Avaya project management methodologies and reporting requirements.
May conduct staff reviews. Prepares staff performance evaluations. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management.

Responsibilities:
• Define Project Definition including goals, objectives, scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop complete project plans.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Follow best practices and tools for project execution and management as prescribed by Project Management Office.
• Develop and execute communication plan.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations.
• Develop and execute against quality plan, including risk and issue management.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
•Identify document risks, and create mitigation plans to minimize impact
• Manage resource plan
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take
positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Manage financial plan.
• Submit monthly budget outlook, and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.

Basic Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5 to 8 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Sharepoint
• Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

Preferred Qualification:
• Certifications in project management (PMP), Six Sigma or other
• Experience managing both large and small projects
• Experience with packaged software
• Experience with projects that develop on platforms (i.e. web development)
• Experience using external consulting resources, and off-shore resources.
