Director of Content - Dada Entertainment

Position Description

Responsibilities include:
* Developing relationships with record companies, movie studios and other content producers to acquire rights for their content for Dada to distribute via its various off deck, on deck and web properties
* Targeting potential acquisitions in accordance with company strategy
* Managing internal and external contract administration process from initiation of deal to completion of deal, working closely with our internal counsel
* Contributing to and maintaining acquisitions database and processes
* Ensuring compliance with carriers’ and other partners’ explicit content guidelines
* Keeping abreast of and being able to interpret consumers’ content consumption demands and trends
* Working with content providers to secure exclusives and other promotional opportunities
* Being responsible for and managing all royalty reporting to content providers, working closely with our finance team
* Managing our team of content programmers and content managers

Position Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 years experience in entertainment content acquisitions and/or distribution
* Strong understanding of the North American audience and its digital media consumption habits
* MBA or JD preferred
* Proven ability to manage the acquisition processes and strategic partnerships
* Ability to think strategically and articulate well-reasoned recommendations on programming strategy
* Major Label or Studio industry knowledge and work experience preferred
* Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture
* Able to work independently and adapt to the changing needs of the division
* Has the ability to work well under time constraints
