Job Title: HRIS Business Analyst II

Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available HRIS Sr. Business Analyst for an opportunity located in Joliet, Illinois.

The HRIS Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for researching/analyzing business requirements and assisting in translating technical requirements, recommending HR technology solutions for difficult and complex business problems and applying technical and functional HR knowledge to the improvement, maintenance and development of HR systems.

Responsibilities Include:
• Maintain super-user knowledge of SAP HCM system.
• Perform internal and external system audits to ensure data integrity and efficient processing of HR data.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and effectively translate business needs into technical requirements utilizing standard SAP process models.
• Support and test interface programs and results to facilitate information flow between SAP and external systems.
• Provide consultative direction, knowledge, and functional assistance to end users and other team members for ongoing administration of HRIS systems and reports.
• Act as a liaison between HR and GIS to provide support in testing and implementation support for system upgrades and enhancements.
• Design and/or deliver end-user training.
• Support reporting and analytics activities by generating a variety of complex ad hoc reports, queries and summaries leveraging business intelligence software.
• Create, modify and communicate business requirements for enhancements or production issues to GIS, Payroll, HR and other affected parties.
• Document system process flows and assist with business process re-engineering.
• Research and identify the root causes for data problems such as user error, lack of standard procedures, or application problems and own resolution, which may require interaction and coordination with GIS, HR, Payroll or third-party vendors.
• Create testing and validation plans on all project upgrades/enhancements and configuration changes. Conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on all projects. Log issues/defects and notify appropriate parties of such findings. Once corrected, retest and provide approvals to move to the production environment once expected results are achieved.
• Provide production support of HR processes including Open Enrollment, Merit Review, Performance management etc.
• Act a project lead, or team member on application upgrades, conversions and implementations including planning/leading meetings and/or project teams.
• Validate the SAP fit to the company’s business requirements; identify workarounds and business process changes, if necessary.

Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent in HR, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive functional SAP HR experience with release 4.6c or greater. Version 6.0 preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, and the proven ability to take initiative, make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment and develop creative solutions.
• Ability to work well and communicate with employees at all levels throughout the organization.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality; ability to maintain composure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Customer Driven, Understanding of Business Issues, Drive for Results, Accountability and Ownership, Communication and Influence and Technical Expertise.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HCM components including Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Benefits, Compensation, Manager Self Service, Employee Self Service, and Workflow. Additionally knowledge and/or experience with Time and Payroll is highly desired.
• HR Systems development, implementation and project management experience, preferably in a corporate global environment.
• Ability to quickly understand and assess the clients’ business processes, organizational dynamics and key business drivers
• Knowledge and understanding of relational database technologies
• Strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workloads and manage user expectations is essential in this role.
• Experience with international implementations having a broader scope is a plus.
