Job Title: Accountant I

Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, responsible for the more complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing inter-entity financial statements and reports. May be assigned to specific areas such as general ledger accounting, financial reporting, etc.
Responsibilities Include:
Performs month-end inter-entity accounting supported entities.
- Prepares complex journal entries and recommends journal entries for foreign entities to correct out-of-balances.
- Prepares interentity account reconciliations and performs analysis to understand out-of-balance situations.
- Interprets company policy to ensure that all accounts are accurately reconciled.
- Assists in the development of corporate financial accounting policies and procedures. Implements and designs financial reports, accounting processes and systems as directed.
- Special projects as appropriate.
- Interact with internal customers in Andrew’s global finance organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus
- Zero (0) to two (2) years relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge or familiarity with Hyperion and SAP or other accounting software is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, methods and techniques as well as federal regulations including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
