Job Title: Electrical Engineer II

Due to our continued growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting a qualified, interested and available RF Engineer for an opportunity located EITHER in Westerville, Ohio, OR WARREN, NEW JERSEY.
The Electrical Engineer III develops production environmental stress tests (PEST) for wireless base station sub-system products such as RF power amplifiers and transceivers.
Responsibilities include:
Develop production environmental stress test strategies to achieve shorter test development time and lower test capital expense without compromising product reliability assurance;
- Work with design and reliability engineers in creating production environmental stress test requirements for new products;
- Define requirements for mechanical test fixtures and select and qualify equipment/component/fixture vendors. Work with designers and contractors to develop fixtures and tooling;
- Design electric circuits to control power suppliers, fans and communication with products under test; – Develop a fully automated PEST software; Provide test capacities for NPI and subsequent volume production builds;
- Document PEST designs and write operation manuals;
- Support manufacturing engineers in resolving PEST issues in production;
- Analyze test and repair data to identify PEST failure modes and follow up with design and quality engineers on reliability deficiencies.
Qualifications:
- BSEE, (MSEE desirable)
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the in the electronic test, preferred in environmental stress test of RF amplifiers and transceivers
- Visual Basic programming experience, VB.Net, VB6
- Understand communication protocols, RS422, I2C, Ethernet, etc. Be able to design remote and automatic data acquisition and control of test systems
- Understand and design safety requirements for factory fixtures (thermal, electrical, mechanical, safety). Understand requirements for High Voltage AC and high current DC
- Lightweight PWB design experience, digital and RF, microprocessor
- Possession of excellent written, oral, and presentational skills
- Must possess good oral/written communication skills and able to effectively work on project teams consisting of departmental and/or cross-functional personnel
