Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Senior Software Engineer for an opportunity located in Ashburn, Virginia.
Position Summary:
Responsible for software design and maintenance of all existing Geolocation software with eventual project leadership responsibilities. Additional work ie: data analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, writing requirements across all projects supported by the Product Development group.
Essential Job Functions:
Design, code and test highly reliable embedded software and device drivers written in C and C++ for QNX and Solaris.
- Trouble-shoot and debug software defects.
- Senior professionals will set an example for junior engineers and serve as a mentor.
Relate new product ideas to software solutions; work well in team environment; and adhere to software design and implementation standards.
Education/Training:
BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.
Experience:
- Five years of embedded programming and writing and testing device drivers with C/C++ on Solaris, Unix or Linux.
- Experience with network programming, VPNs, routing and communication protocols is required.
- Five years experience with source code control such as Perforce and CVS is required.
- Experience with PowerQUICC programming (FCC, SCC, SMC) and other UARTs.
- Familiarity with GSM/UMTS protocols and/or cellular phone networks.
