Position Description

TEST ENGINEER

We are seeking a Test Engineer with experience testing new features in
Telephony/telecommunications products. The features could
be protocol, database administration or maintenance related.
The testing is system level and involves integrating multiple devices into a customer like environment.

The successful candidate must be able to read and understand requirements documentation.
Formulate test cases/test plans and then execute the test plans. They must understand the product
feature by working with the SW development team to understand how the feature
will be implemented and therefore how the existing functionality of the product will be
impacted by the new code/functionality. Generating test cases in the test case database that
would cover any or all of the following provisioning (including some automation to cover boundary testing),
maintenance commands, new feature functionality, protocol, feature integration, system integration,
negative testing (fault insertion), and load/stress/volume/ performance testing.
Determining the required test bed or test setup required for test execution.
Executing all test cases and documenting bugs in the tracking database.

Experience required:
3+ years as a Test Engineer working in a telecomm or related environment.
STRONG UNIX / LINUX experience
Solid IP / telecomm experience
SS7 protocol a STRONG PLUS
