iSkoot (http://www.iskoot.com seeks a Senior Mobile Client Engineer and UI expert

Having successfully brought to market the first carrier-friendly and carrier-grade mobile Skype solution, iSkoot now seeks an experienced mobile software guru to drive the development of a new expanded product line built on the same proven technical platform.

The iSkoot-powered 3 Skypephone (http://www.3skypephone.com), which took home an award at the 2008 MWC for the best mobile device in the world, is now launched in eight countries and is already delivering significant revenue, signups, and value for both 3 Mobile and iSkoot.
iSkoot, having just completed a $19M series C fundraising, is now leading the wave of mobile and web convergence, bringing the online services users value most to market with our own handsets and services. iSkoot will capitalize on the success of the Skypephone to develop new services and devices for the global carrier market that will build value for shareholders and carrier partners in the same manner that RIM, Apple, and Danger have done with the BlackBerry, iPhone, and Sidekick.

The Senior Mobile Engineer will write stable, extensible, compact, carrier-grade code, will have terrific product intuition and an ability to work closely with product management, will be able to work in a nimble and fast-moving environment, and must be excited about collaborating with a global engineering team.

iSkoot’s Senior Mobile Engineer will work closely with product management to do rapid prototyping of new product concepts, and will work equally closely with our Israeli engineering team to help bring products to market. If that sounds appealing, we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience mobile software development
* Strong technical background and deep knowledge of mobile client technologies. Knowledge of J2ME a must. BREW, Symbian, iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, etc. all helpful
* Creative problem solving skills
* Terrific product sense and UI skills
* Experience with and enjoyment of the challenges of working in a multi-national corporation with offices in multiple time zones and geographies
* Self-starter, organized and highly motivated
* Project management skills, along with excellent communication skills

You will need to be familiar with building carrier-grade software. You should be motivated by the technical challenges, economic upside, and the opportunity and responsibility of being involved with something very big.
