Job Description:

The product consultant works on high value integrated public safety and justice sales. You will work in a team environment with other consultants and account executives to understand the clients’ requirements, prepare and give extensive technical product demonstrations and workshops. This position may be asked to attend regional user group conferences as well as regional and national trade shows. This position requires approximately 50% travel.



Responsibilities:

· Work closely with the sales team to sell the benefits of the solution

· Assist in completion of the functional sections of requests for information/proposal confirm feasibility of bids

· Prepare detailed demonstration of the software with customer data

· Work with the development teams to understand new customer requirements during the sales process

· Understand the functionality and market fit of other company solutions to be able to provide the best solution to our customers

· Conduct demonstrations of the software to prospects and existing customers.

· Be a relevant expert knowledge of solutions, industry, market directions

· Superior interpersonal skills required

· Good knowledge of public safety and emergency management including patrol operations, crime analysis, investigations, fire services, and EMS.

· Knowledge of public safety business processes is of particular interest.

· Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels within an organization

· Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and demonstrate a solution to the customer

· Ability to effectively learn new products and services and demonstrate these articulately



Qualifications:

· Public Safety experience preferred

· Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required

· Experience as network or systems administrator is a plus

· Experience with public safety software is a plus

· Sales and/or marketing experience a plus

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

· Ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects required

· Ability to lift 65lb computer gear shipping cartons required

· Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
