Compensation: 250 – 325K + 50% bonus

Location: Redmond, WA



Job Description:

This is a strategic leadership position, and the new CEO must be able to “energize” this company while maintaining relations with resellers, the Board of Directors, the parent company and a team of 5 direct reports, leading an organization of 220 staff.



Specific focus of this position will include:

Setting strategic direction of the company to increase revenues while maintaining existing relationships

Developing the executive team, mentoring and grooming the staff for better performance

Setting the tone for the whole organization, making assessments and changes as needed

Understanding the needs of the Board of Directors and the new Parent company

Focusing on the needs of customers and resellers

Traveling to overseas HQ of the parent company twice per year



Skills:

The ideal candidate will be a true leader who is able to aggressively yet diplomatically manage the needs of this company, while meeting the needs of its parent company, Board of Directors, and Customers.



Characteristics Include:

· 5-10 years as a CEO of a company this size, or Division VP of a larger company.

· Strategic management experience, and a high level of accountability to corporate goals

· A strong leader who is also diplomatic and can draw a line between managing the needs of the Parent company and maintaining this company’s individuality and character; must be able to implement change without being radical, and work collaboratively to make the changes necessary.

· High customer interest, and a recognition of the needs of resellers as customers; experience working with a large reseller network

· Experience with large government, understanding of the requirements and process of Government contracts

· Engineering background, technical understanding of public safety products, ideally coming from an Engineering company that has in-house manufacturing

· Telecom Switching background

· Experience working in a parent-subsidiary company relationship and understanding the dynamics therein

· Global experience and ability to travel overseas approximately twice per year (approximately 1 month per year)

· Engineering Degree as well as an MBA
