We are currently seeking a dynamic, high-energy DAS Outside Plant Engineer to join our DAS Solutions team in Cary, NC.


Summary:
The DAS Outside Plant Engineer reviews and develops engineering and cost schedules for all outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Outside Plant and Fiber (OSP) deployments, feasibility studies, and request-for-proposal responses. This position develops engineering and construction Scopes of Work (SOW) and coordinates bidding work to OSP engineering and construction firms. The incumbent supports costs development of OSP project components by assessing the requirements, attending site walks or pre-proposal meetings, soliciting quotations and contractor support or independently developing cost. Operationally, the incumbent will serve as subject matter expert in situations that require advanced fiber design and troubleshooting. The person filling this role must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages from concept, to formal design, to construction.

Education and Experience:
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in OSP engineering, estimating and construction project management
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in DAS and/or wireless communication development strongly preferred
• Four (4) year engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Project Manager certification preferred
• Experience in building construction processes and methods including electrical, mechanical, fire protection and general contracting
• Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) Building Industry Consultants Services Inc (BISCI) certification, preferred
