Data Mediation Application SME - Wireless - Cox Communications

Position Description

SUMMARY:
This position works directly with field and corporate team members to configure, implement, and maintain production mediation processes utilizing Intecs Inter-mediatE mediation application. The position is responsible for defining and implementing mediation requirements, participating in design creation or review with production maintenance responsibilities. This position also manages new wireless related mediation projects and tracks all change requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Become knowledgeable of all mediation processes used in the current mediation system and demonstrate strong analytical skills in testing, trouble-shooting, diagnosing and managing the development and resolution of mediation solutions.
2. Required to develop documentation where required to communicate to end users and for the purpose of maintaining audit requirements.
3. Understand wireless technology and the supporting Billing/Operations Sub Systems
4. Evaluate requests for new usage mediation and gather requirements, review design, manage implementation and document training, as needed.
5. Interface with internal and external teams to evaluate new requests for data mediation or changes to existing data mediation
6. Monitor mediation input and output trending and error analysis data to identify and resolve potential billing issues
7. Document mediation processes
8. General production mediation maintenance
9. Develop and implement new mediation processes
10. Assist in eliciting requirements from users
11. Documenting requirements for selected projects
12. Application configuration and support responsibilities to include: modify current mediation system configuration of input and output portals, and business logic
13. Testing responsibilities to include: design test conditions based on requirements and acquire appropriate data
14. Change request management responsibilities to include: track status of change requests
15. Coordination delivery of new code or fixes from vendor
16. Demonstrate excellent analytical skills in trouble-shooting, diagnosing and managing the resolution of mediation issues
17. Is available to be on call 24×7 as needed
18. Develop process documentation related to mediation processes

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Typically requires BS/BA or Associates degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field. Generally 2-5 years of experience in specification documentation. MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in specification documentation. Certification is required in some areas.
2. Data Mediation Application experience is required
3. C programming experience is required
4. Preference will be given to candidates with Telecommunications experience.
5. Previous experience with Intec Telecom mediation platforms or other relevant mediation platform experience is desirable.
6. Usage of mediation platforms desirable.
7. General understanding of billing and support systems and how usage data is related to those systems.
8. Python scripting language
9. Previous experience with wireless telephony data
10. Ability to work well under pressure and commit to meeting strict deadlines
11. Ability to work autonomously on project related tasks or in team situations.
