Position Description

Summary:
The successful candidate will be a key senior member of a division to develop tower mounted antenna products for digital communication applications, e.g. GSM, W-CDMA or WiMax, including business development, proposal generation, systems engineering, and project engineering. The Engineering Director must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, performs reviews and takes disciplinary actions when required, is responsible for establishing and maintaining department procedures and documentation.


Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership and direction to program team by setting role, performance expectations and critical milestones,
• Meet company and customer requirements, drive timely and clearly communicated decisions and development schedule,
• Ensure program-wide focus on safety, reliability, cost and schedule,
• Develops and maintains standardized processes and procedures for product development,
• Works with customers to collectively solve system issues and continuously improve customer support levels.
• Prepares annual operations budgets, manages and tracks financial performance against budget. Provide senior management with solid recommendations for continual operations improvements based on cost benefit analysis
• Directs, supervises, and manages the performance of the software, communication system development team.

Experience:

Ph. D. with 10+ years or MS with 15+ years of technical and management experience in digital wireless communication system development,

Demonstrated leadership, operations and managerial experience in a senior level management position with increasing levels of responsibility,

Proven skills in customer and vendor interface,

Working knowledge of GSM, CDMA, and WiMax development,

Strong foundation in C++ & C programming,

ARM based product development experience,

DSP/algorithm development or implementation experience,

Experience in developing simulation/prototype models,

Experience in building simulation modeling applications,

Experience in development and implementation of complex algorithms.
