About the Job
Cross Country Automotive Services in Medford, MA is seeking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager for the Product Marketing and Strategic Innovation Department. The person MUST have experience with Mobile/Handset Applications. The Product Marketing Manager will be reporting directly to the VP. The responsibilities are as follows:

DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:




Executes individual product initiatives as assigned. A combination of creative and analytical talents are required as well as the ability to be part technical expert and part businessperson in order to identify new opportunities and products that add profitable revenue. Must be able to conceptualize new ideas, research these new ideas, and evaluate them objectively from a market and financial standpoint. Accountable for taking a product from concept to commercialization.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




· Strategic product development of strategic initiatives, as defined.

· Write documents as needed for Research and Development projects, such as product demonstration requirements documents and proofs of concept.

· Meet with internal and external customers to understand and prioritize their needs and translate their strategic business questions/concerns into research projects or analysis as appropriate.

· Actively collect information through secondary research, relevant trade shows, professional conferences and educational events. Where applicable, generate trip reports of findings.

· Conduct and/or participate in brainstorming/ideation sessions to develop product ideas and problem solutions.

· Develop expertise in emerging technologies and be able to instruct others in the value and applications of the technology.

· Develop business cases for new initiatives/products to facilitate bringing the products/services to market.

· Manages customer and internal requirements for existing and future products.

· Assists in key sales opportunities.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:




1.) EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Graduate degree in business or engineering preferred.



2.) EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years Product Management, Product Marketing or Business development experience within the auto insurance claims or data products; insurance or data products industry preferred. Demonstrable record of leading new products from concept to commercial release.



3.) COMPLEXITY: Must embrace change and have a passion for building great companies. Self-directed; requires minimal supervision on work products. Strong project management skills, detail-oriented with solid analytical skill. Ability to develop business relationships and partnerships as needed.



4.) WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Frequent interaction with business unit manager as well as cross-functional managers and developers.



5.) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Travel up to 30% of total time. Evening or weekend hours may be required.
