VIP-TV Vertical Market Outside Sales - EchoStar Technologies

Position Description

The outside sales staff for IPTV transport services and end-to-end IPTV solutions will conduct a full sales process, from lead generation to solutions identification and pricing, contract close and fulfillment.
EchoStar’s Internet protocol television transport service (ViP-TV) will provide television programming transport services to telcos, cable companies, PCOs, MDU operators, hospitality operators and universities that plan to distribute TV content over their wireline networks, upgrade their programming offering and provide television programming.
Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Closing business and achieving revenue targets in specifically assigned areas

• Travelling 50 – 75 % calling on Telcos, CATV system operators, FTTH operators, hospitality and university services integrators, and other prospects for the services and solutions, as well as supporting marketing/sales events and trade shows.

• Assisting business development initiatives, as needed;

• Assisting in the development and management of ecosystem partners;



Qualifications are:

• 5-10 years technical sales experience and proven track record in closing business and achieving revenue targets in the DTH, telecom, CATV, or cable service and equipment, or networking equipment industries

• Knowledge of Internet protocol television, CDNs, and satellite service a plus.

• Strong relationship building and sales skills

• Presentation development and delivery skills

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Quick study and technical aptitude as this position requires ability to learn and understand high level system requirements and a demonstrated capability to manage a coalition of customers, partners and vendors to solve problems.

• Facility with MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
