Software Architect – Advanced Technology Group

As an architect, you will help drive Openwave’s innovation team to create the next generation of mobile products and services. We need technical acumen mixed with creativity + innovation and an end to end understanding of products. You will possess complete architectural ownership of the products. Brainstorming, prototyping, creating products and services that drive business and inspire the world. You will work across the Product Groups and Engineering to ensure end to end architectural, functional and protocol consistency. Position Requirements

• MS Degree in CS or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. PhD degree will be a definite plus
• 8+ years of strong architecture experience working in Advanced Technology, Innovation or R+D labs
• Proven entrepreneurial spirit (ie. Start ups, prototyping, holding patents or publications)
• Formal training hands on experience in object-oriented languages (C++/Java), Unix system-level programming, relational databases, and Internet technologies (HTTP, TCP/IP, REST, Apache etc.) required.
•Proven experience in writing complex technical documentation without significant direction.
• Broad product innovation experience
