CognoLink is a London-based primary research firm started by two former senior professionals at a top tier strategy consultancy. We are focused on facilitating consultations with industry experts, helping private equity firms, hedge funds and their advisors gain insights into specific markets in order to understand critical issues associated with investment decisions. Responsibilities:

You will be in charge of maintaining and developing CognoLink’s network of TMT specialists as well as building and developing your own client relationships, primarily with buy-side analysts and portfolio managers. You will manage a team of research associates in order to execute on all client requests related to the TMT industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

(1) Serving as the main point of contact for clients for all TMT requests (Technology, Media and Telecommunications), understanding their needs/investment processes and structuring the client delivery
(2) Guaranteeing an outstanding quality of service on TMT research requests
(3) Developing relationships with our top healthcare specialists and recruiting new members to the network (through referrals or direct sourcing)
(4) Building strong relationships with existing and new clients
(5) Growing a team of research associates (attract, retain and develop talent)
(6) Managing the P&L of the TMT vertical
You should expect to oversee the successful completion of several research assignments and at times work under intense pressure with tight deadlines. You should also feel comfortable adjusting to new research topics across different healthcare related topics with a global scope. You will need to be abreast of all new industry developments and attend key industry conferences.

You will be involved in continuously improving our processes and the service we provide to our clients. Strong performance will quickly lead to more responsibility and reward within the company.

Ideal Requirements:

• Masters or Bachelors degree in related field (or equivalent) from a top tier institution
• Good understanding of drivers in the TMT industry
• 3-10 years commercial experience in the TMT industry (market research experience would be a plus)
• Team player, able to lead, inspire and motivate a team
• Managerial experience a strong plus
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) – ability to communicate with C-level executives
• Outgoing in nature
• Willing to work in fast-paced and, at times, high pressure entrepreneurial environment with sophisticated clients
• Flexible, motivated and willing to “go the extra mile”
