Position Description

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this role is responsible for the portfolio management of the operational capabilities to support and manage wireless services for Cox Communications.

Senior OSS Requirements SME Resource knowledgeable in the Cox OSS application architecture and the wireless implementation approach to analyze the ongoing business process work within the wireless team and coordinate communication between the Wireless team and Technology Support / Enterprise Solutions teams.

This resource will perform the following duties:
1. Manages the Wireless OSS applications as a portfolio to ensure that overall business operations support capabilities can be met
2. Serves as the primary SME for Technology Operations on operations support systems for wireless. Work closely with managed service provider to understand business design for Wireless and translate into operational support requirements for tools and applications.
3. Identifies impacts to OSS applications already deployed by Cox, as a result of planned wireless services. Work with Technology Operations application owners to ensure that required capability to manage and operate Wireless network is prioritized within support applications roadmap.
4. Identifies gaps within Cox’s current tool portfolio to support the services as well as specify incremental functionality needed to support the intended business design of the wireless services.
5. Candidate should understand the integration requirements across operations support tools and applications and work with assigned Technology application owners to prioritize within application roadmap

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Typically requires B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. Advanced degree and generally 5+ years experience in related field. Certification required in some areas
2. Desired candidate should demonstrate a broad understanding of network fault and performance monitoring applications, network inventory systems, trouble management applications, provisioning, is required. (Netcool or equivalent, Granite or equivalent, Remedy or equivalent, Asset Tracking sytems, etc).
3. 5 years of a functional application management experience within the Wireless service industry is required.
4. Candidate should possess a strong understanding of wireless network architecture and support systems.
5. Ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in at least one of the following areas of application lifecycle management architecture, business requirements and analysis, design, development, or post production support
6. Candidate with knowledge of Wireless and Broadband Communications industry engineering, design disciplines desired.
7. Strong project management and meeting facilitation experience desired.
8. Experience with business process analysis and improvement methodologies desired.
9. Requires the ability to function independent of supervision.
