Job Description:

As a member of the USA Handset Product Realization Team this position is responsible for creating the USA based handset test procedures, process and test documentation. Planning and managing the resources and activities of the USA based handset test team, as well as the resources and activities of the International based testing and R&D teams while they are in the USA. This position will also communicate and closely collaborate with R&D and Test teams based Internationally to ensure that all problems and bugs identified in the handsets are fixed in a timely manner.



In addition with internal activities the test manager must also understand the carrier customer test requirements. Must be able to communicate with the customer regarding issues found and the arranging of collaborative testing.



Objectives:

Ensure that all USA handsets are fully tested according to agreed project objectives and time-frames. Ensure that the test procedures, processes and documentation are created and maintained according the agreed projects. Ensure that the USA based and Internationally based handset testing resources are planned and managed to meet the requirements of the agreed projects.



Responsibilities:

· Create and manage the testing processes to ensure the delivery of final hardware and software in a timely fashion according to the requirements of agreed handset projects.

· To plan, allocate and manage all the testing resources required to ensure the delivery of final hardware and software in a timely fashion according to the requirements of agreed handset projects.

· To lead and manage the USA based test teams and the International based test teams while they are engaged in testing activities in the USA.

· Communicate and closely collaborate with R&D and Test teams based Internationally to ensure that all problems and bugs identified in the handsets are fixed in a timely manner.

· Coordinate the preparation of test units and software for Operator customers including devices, software, release note and needed accessories according to Operator requirements.

· Must be able to arrange testing with carrier customer and or 3rd party field test teams. Must build a strong and positive relationship with the carrier customer



Qualifications:

· Fluency in Mandarin language as well as English is required.

· Proven in-depth knowledge of CDMA2000 and UMTS handset technologies.

· Proven experience of handset testing processes and procedures



Experience:

· 5 years “hands-on” experience of managing CDMA2000 and/or UMTS handset testing with a major handset OEM or Operator.

· Must have prior working relationships with current and potentially new carrier customers



Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related technologies preferred. May consider other experience if applicable.
