Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Manager of Engineering Programs for an opportunity located in Ashburn, VA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage a team of dedicated electrical engineers focused on signal processing analysis and development supporting the Andrew Geometrix wireless Geolocation systems and other Andrew products. Provide technical oversight, mentorship and both personnel and project management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Signal processing algorithm and software design and development. Provide technical oversight, mentorship and both personnel and project management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education/Training: MSEE or equivalent required. Concentration in signal processing or wireless communications is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years team leadership experience, including direct signal processing product design and development.
• Expert level proficiency in MATLAB®
• Experience with wireless communications systems with focus on the physical layer (GSM, UMTS, WiMax, etc.)
• Direct experience developing algorithms and source code for wireless signal processing.
• Knowledge of wireless location systems (U-TDOA / AOA / etc.) (a plus, not a requirement)
• Expertise with DSP microprocessors (ADI SHARC, TI, etc.)
• Experience leading development project teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Some short duration travel may be required.
