Position Description

Person to be responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding enterprise applications that distribute text, images and video to wireless devices while providing an excellent user experience through speed, ease-of-use and reliability. This position requires a strong level of technical expertise combined with excellent planning, coordination and communication skills as well as the ability to work on teams. Individual will design application architecture proposals, manage projects to hit stated milestones & deadlines, assist the development team with smaller software projects and provide analysis for hardware and network decisions. The individual will work closely with the Software Architect on software development, database administration, hardware setup, network administration and infrastructure design to achieve stated business goals and be expected to perform disaster recovery operations unassisted. Must be proficient in Internet and mobile technologies including Subversion, Unix, Apache, Perl, PHP, SQL, MySQL, WAP, XML, HTML, AJAX, JavaScript and CSS. Server set up and maintenance is required, as is participation in an after-hours, on-call pager rotation. A minimum of five years of software development with increasing responsibility for software design and systems integration and a college degree in computer science are necessary.
