Senior Product Marketing Manager – Mobile B2B2CLBS Platform and Offers

Enterprise customers have a significant interest in leveraging carrier provided location information and location based services both for their own use as well as in mobile applications and hardware that are sold to businesses and consumers. Increasing enterprise customer adoption of network-based location information and services leads to growth in data ARPU, and will be a key objective for this role. Sr. Marketing Manager will be accountable for defining and executing on marketing strategies to accelerate sales and enhance AT&T’s thought leadership position within the carrier provided location information and LBS line-of-business solutions space. This is a dual role with both product marketing and product management responsibility for developing AT&T’s network-based location information platform and services for our enterprise customer segment.

SYNOPSIS:
• Be the resident expert in network-based location information services and AT&T’s GSM based location infrastructure, including traditional LBS mobile apps and an emerging category of B2B2C solutions (apps that are purchased by AT&T business customers but deployed to their end-users – subscribers, external partners and employees)
• Identify and establish alliances with key industry ecosystem partners to provide a robust suite of location-based services, value-added services, and APIs. Develop offers, marketing programs and sales training with these industry partners
• Manage direct offers through the product realization process, including marketing opportunity definition, analysis of customer needs, AT&T offer/pricing/positioning, competitive offer evaluation, AT&T capabilities, financial analysis, and sales forecast
• Develop and validate marketing service descriptions, achieving key financial business case objectives, delivering on product timeline and commitments, and working closely with Technology, Engineering and IT to deliver world-class mobile enterprise solutions.
• Work closely with the Industry Solutions leadership on the overall strategic roadmap for services, applications and marketing programs
• Manage the launch and ongoing marketing (product, pricing, placement and promotion) of the offer/s throughout their life cycle
• Maintain industry expertise through relevant primary and secondary research, participation at industry events and customer meetings
• Develop and maintain industry segment collateral (white papers, solution flyers, web pages, presentations, customer case studies, ROI models, etc)
• Identify key industry events / forums for AT&T participation to educate and promote how enterprise companies can leverage network-based location information for improving their existing business processes and how they can add value and drive additional revenue for enterprise developed mobile applications and hardware. Work with event management team to coordinate participation and execution of the events
• Drive and deliver demand generation activities that lead to a sales pipeline of industry influenced opportunities for B2B2CLBS and other applicable sales channels
• Develop press and analyst strategy to increase awareness and further AT&T’s thought leadership position within vertical industries
• Work with appropriate departments to ensure all applicable sales channels are trained on the industry segments and offers
• Manage all marketing programs within budget targets, ensure the maximum return on marketing investments and report on program performance
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams; Experience executing jointly with partners and vendors

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree required (MS/MBA helpful)
• Solid understanding of mobile applications space, through direct work experience or marketing roles targeting these solutions to the enterprise market
• Solid understanding of Network-Based Location-based Services (LBS) solutions, Geospatial Platforms, role of LBS aggregators and B2B2C application delivery methods
• Knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS), Assisted GPS, Enhanced Cell-ID and Cell-ID as well as a basic understanding of Web Services and Parlay X is highly desired
• Knowledge of how wireless carriers deploy Location-based applications is also highly desired
• Leadership roles in product marketing and product management specifically for a location-based services or wireless enterprise focused application
• Strong Product Development or Management Experience
• Five or more years in a professional level marketing position, or equivalent.
• Experience in marketing to enterprise customers and working with a direct sales force to execute the marketing plan.
• Proven ability to drive cross-group collaborative efforts on multiple projects, developing scalable and effective marketing plans, executing tactics and driving key issues to closure.
• Strong market strategy and marketing skills. Ability to synthesize diverse information in order to develop vision and strategy for commanding a market segment.
• Ability to research, prioritize and clearly articulate market and customer requirements. Demonstrated orientation towards measuring results and assuming accountability for the market impact of product actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills.
• Self-motivated; ability to take ownership for assigned projects; ability to work independently and with a team.
