According to a report from iSuppli, Apple's iPhone [1] outsold other smartphones during the month of July and equaled sales of the most popular feature phone, LG's Chocolate. According to the report, the iPhone outsold every BlackBerry handset [2], the entire Palm portfolio and any individual Motorola, Nokia, Samsung or other carrier-branded models. iSuppli, however makes the distinction that the iPhone is not truly a smartphone since it is not designed to allow users to load third party software onto the product.
