While AT&T looks to APAC for growth [1], it seems some Asian carriers are looking at the U.S. BusinessWeek is running a carefully-worded, speculative piece on whether Asian carriers like Japan's NTT DoCoMo or KDDI [2] will play a role in the outcome of the 700 MHz auction.
"Google is trying to acquire spectrum now. Maybe they will be looking for a partner" for their network, NTT DoCoMo USA's [3] Masaki Yoshikawa told BusinessWeek, but stressed that the companies have not discussed such a move. "Perhaps we can be involved in the process," he said.
