French carrier Orange [1] has poured cold water on rumors circulating the blogosphere that its unlocked iPhones are actually country-locked to French carriers only. The carrier said its phones are truly unlocked and do not require a French SIM card to work. Orange announced in October that it would sell unlocked iPhones because of a French law that requires carriers to offer unlocked phones [2].
