A number of websites have popped up to help customers get out of their mobile-phone contracts without paying the stiff termination fee. The sites are taking advantage of a contract loophole that allows people to get out of their contracts if they can find someone else to take it over, and the wireless operator approves the new subscriber through a credit check. The sites include CelltradeUSA.com [1], Resellular.com [2] and Cellswapper.com [3]. Interestingly, the operator with the highest churn, Sprint Nextel, welcomes the sites. "We welcome all potential new customers to Sprint, so we're excited to have a new customer who wants to enjoy our services," said a Sprint spokeswoman. Verizon Wireless, by the way, says it doesn't endorse the sites.
