Roaming firms MACH and Cibernet merge

Cibernet, which the CTIA spun off in the spring of 2003, has merged with mobile roaming expert MACH. Together the two companies will service 650 customers worldwide and process more than 25 billion billing records, messages and content downloads annually. Cibernet's Mobile Xchange Protocol, which helped carriers facilitate roaming mobile users of the mobile Internet and m-commerce wholesale billing exchange, revenue sharing and settlement. The new company will build on MACH's MDS platform for data clearing, which Cibernet will combine with its One1Clear financial clearing system.
