These include enhancements and alternatives like Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links (TRILL), Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network (VXLAN), and Network Virtualization using Generic Routing Encapsulation (NVGRE). These standards have created a critical need to understand the various options available and identify the best route towards network convergence for enabling better datacenter operations.
