The Wireless Convergence Network (WiCON) is the Nation's first Trade Association and Largest Buying Consortium designed specifically to benefit wireless dealers and wholesalers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN DIEGO, CA. - March 15, 2010 - The creation of the Nation's first membership trade association and comprehensive buying consortium for the Indirect Dealer Community was announced today, and will be showcasing at CTIA-The Wireless Association exposition conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 22-25, 2010.

The WiCON Network was formed to give the 4,000 small and medium size business owners within the wireless dealer community a voice by pooling their resources and marrying them to a limited number of top suppliers, providing deep discounts on quality products and services. By providing members with greater buying power and economies of scale, WiCON offers savings and efficiencies in the following categories:

  • Wireless devices and accessories
  • Warranty exchange
  • Trade-in programs
  • Point of sale software
  • Store fixtures and construction
  • Office supplies and business services
  • Operational functions such as accounting, human resources, financial services, real estate, brand development, inventory management and legal services.

"We have negotiated contracts with the biggest brand names within the wireless industry, and general small business category that are second to none. They guarantee that the independent wireless dealer will purchase goods and services at lower prices and at more favorable terms. This guarantee will increase margins, cash flow and overall profitability for the dealers who have long needed a vehicle toaggregate their resources. By participating in the WiCON Network, our members will be able to compete on a level playing field," explains Scott Tibbets, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

Complimentary to CTIA Conference attendees, WiCON is launching its Network on March 22nd to dealers, resellers and wholesalers from every national and regional wireless provider by offering a 90 day no-risk trial promotion. The complimentary trial will offer prospective members the opportunity to fully experience the benefits of the Network, with minimal risk. Monthly membership dues range from $25 to $150 per store, depending upon the size of the organization.

WiCON is considered a trade association in addition to a buying consortium because it offers advocacy services, best practices communication and pertinent real-timeindustry information.

"The WiCON network is an active forum for its members to seek and receive a comprehensive sleeve of services to help make every aspect of
their business better. Our legal services, real estate department, accounting, finance, operational consulting and brand development was created specifically for the needs of the independent wireless dealer and are delivered at the lowest costanywhere in the market place," said Tibbets.

WiCON anticipates no fewer than two hundred dealer members on its network this year and well over two thousand in 2012.

The founding members, former executives of The Mobile Solution, Inc., T-Mobile USA's largest dealer for years, have spent two-decades in the dealer community and understand, first hand, the inherent challenges that independent wireless operators face while competing against big box retail giants and carrier direct stores, and are confident that WiCON will fill a service that has long been lacking in the dealer community.
