Balthaser's B3 App Tops the Charts for iPad
EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Balthaser Online, a leading technology company has produced its first online digital magazine for the iPad. In collaboration with Future US Publishing, Balthaser's B3 Publishing Platform was used exclusively to create a ground-breaking digital issue of Mac|Life. This first iPad issue of the magazine raced to the number one spot in Apple's iPad app store in just three days.
The Mac|Life Tablet Edition iPad app provides a peek into the future of new reading experiences by delivering interactive rich media and allowing readers to easily engage with the magazine's content, social network features, ratings and more.
The app was created by Balthaser's B3 design team using the B3 publishing platform without any software programming required. The Mac|Life special digital issue was the first release of a major magazine using the B3 system and was a proving ground for Balthaser's vision of enabling creative people through technology.
Kate Byrne, Vice President of Technology and Active Groups for Future US said, “Digital and mobile readers deserve more than just repurposed print content. Our app harnesses the power of social media and makes flat content interactive.”
Neil Balthaser, CEO, founder of Balthaser Online and technology visionary said, “The technology behind the Mac|Life app is the result of intensive study of what else is in the marketplace and, more importantly, what readers really want from their online digital magazines.”
“We have built on our more than ten years experience in creating patented technologies for online content creation,” said Neil, “And with B3 we have finally realized our vision of 'create once, publish to many', with B3's ability to output to iPad, Android and Flash.”
