Chorus Reveals The Most Socially-Recommended iPhoneâ„¢ Apps and Games for November 2009
App list is quite different from the traditional popular charts
(December 22, 2009) – envIO networks, a leading social networking software development company, today announced results from early user activity on its popular Chorus iPhone Application. The application helps community members recommend and share their favorite iPhone application and game selections.
Available on iPhone and iPod touch, Chorus helps users connect with friends to see what apps they like and use, as well as ask for and share recommendations. Users can connect via existing social networking sites like Facebook and twitter or via email and location based services. A real-time feed shows users which apps their friends are downloading and how those users rate their apps.
In a month since its launch, Chorus users have already invited on average 54 friends. The community around shared discovery of applications and shared interest is rapidly expanding and because Chorus attracts a loyal base of app users, the service helps users cut through the noise and clutter of a sea of 100,000 iPhone apps.
What’s most interesting is that many of the most popular games and applications on Chorus are different from the popular apps and games as listed in various “top” charts. Chorus measured the following activity over the month of November 2009 based on thousands of user actions and more than 25,000 purchase and download attempts.
