NetCracker Strengthens its Presence in Latin America With Key Customer Win and Implementation
WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NetCracker Technology announced today that Argentina-based Claro has selected and successfully implemented NetCracker’s Telecom Operations and Management (TOMS) Solution to accelerate its business transformation. Claro is the fastest-growing mobile operator in Argentina with more than 18 million subscribers, providing mobile technology, mobile broadband, and a wide range of fixed voice and data services. It is also a subsidiary of América Móvil — the leading wireless provider in Latin America, and the fourth largest operator in the world with more than 170 million customers.
NetCracker’s successful implementation has enabled Claro to accelerate the consolidation of systems and drive a higher level of efficiency by optimizing the transport and connectivity infrastructure.
“The transformation of our OSS is an integral part of our plan to improve and expand overall service to our customers,” said Daniel Martínez, COO at Claro. “We chose NetCracker to ensure that our customers receive the quality and innovation that has been the source of Claro’s success. The successful delivery of the solution has demonstrated the close co-operation and execution effectiveness of our teams.”
The comprehensive TOMS solution designed for Claro incorporates NetCracker’s innovative product modules and market-leading service delivery and integration expertise. The implementation also addresses Claro’s need to consolidate transport networks and incorporate them into the overall OSS environment, boosting efficiency and productivity. In the next phase, NetCracker is scheduled to manage Claro’s entire network including IP/MPLS, Microwave, DWDM, and SDH/PDH.
“We are excited to be working with Claro and to be a part of their aggressive growth strategy in the region,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker. “The successful implementation of this program is a testimonial to Claro’s outstanding vision and the innovation delivered by NetCracker. We look forward to continuing our close cooperation and success through the next phase of the program.”
