The accelerated 1-week Mobile Marketing program will be held Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., April 4-8, 2011. The 12-week program will be held one evening per week on Thursdays, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., starting on April 7 and ending on June 23, 2011.
Berkowitz is scheduled to teach two modules in the program: “Mobile Shopping and Commerce” and “Mobile Social Media: Taking Social Media Mobile.” The other industry experts serving as instructors include: C.K. Kerley, Bruce Nowjack, Cindy Krum, Barbara Williams and Rob Petersen.
“At 360i we’ve seen the interest in mobile marketing skyrocket, which has required us to be up-to-the-minute with the industry. Teaching in the Rutgers Mini MBA program is a wonderful opportunity for me to communicate our innovative strategies and tactics,” says Berkowitz. “One of the biggest surges in mobile is in mobile shopping, and I’m looking forward to letting the students in on some of our mobile device shopping best practices.”
“As Google’s Eric Schmidt pointed out recently, the growth of mobile has exceeded all industry forecasts, and YouTube is seeing 200 million mobile playbacks a day. Mobile is undoubtedly the bandwagon to be on,” adds Eric Greenberg, the Faculty Chair of the Mini-MBA: Mobile Marketing Program at CMD. “We designed this course with the help of industry experts and invited them to be the instructors. Attendees will learn the very latest about how to develop winning mobile strategies that include all mobile vehicles in a variety of industries.”
This Mini MBA certificate program is designed for executives or teams of professionals who work in marketing, advertising, public relations, branding, communications, strategy and sales. It is also tailored for individuals seeking to increase their value in the job market through increased mobile skills and sophistication.
The Rutgers Mini MBA: Mobile Marketing program features an innovative learning environment that delivers course content on a program-supplied Apple iPad 2 and a program-supplied Apple iTouch. The cost of the Certificate Program is $4,995, which includes all instructional materials on a pre-loaded Apple iPad and iPod Touch as well as fees. The Rutgers Mini MBA Program may qualify for corporate tuition reimbursement.
Students in this program will also take a tour of the Rutgers WINLAB – one of the world’s leading research centers on mobile technologies – and see the very latest in emerging mobile technologies. This center has completed over 20 years of research on wireless data networks, and has made a number of important contributions to the field.
