Achieves milestones in both platform and product with exciting new game

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Digital Chocolate, a leader in social games across growing platforms, today announced the launch of Galaxy Life™ both on Facebook and on Digital Chocolate’s website. This helps to further the company’s strategy of delivering entertaining social games across multiple platforms and touchpoints.

Digital Chocolate offers customers more flexibility in the ways they game. At http://games.digitalchocolate.com/canvas/galaxylife/, users can play Galaxy Life without leaving the browser, and without any downloads or plug-ins. Players also have a choice to play anonymously, competing with strangers or alternatively play as themselves while connected to Facebook friends. A Facebook version of the game is also available.

This builds on recent cross-platform product launches. Last month, Digital Chocolate introduced Zombie Lane for iOS devices, building on the success of that game’s Facebook and Google+ presence. Digital Chocolate games are now available on Facebook, Google+, Apple iOS, Android, tablets and on the web.

Galaxy Life is from Digital Chocolate, the makers of Facebook hits such as Zombie Lane™, Army Attack™, Millionaire City™, and MMA Pro Fighter™. In this free-to-play game of strategy and retaliation, players lead a new colony of Starlings to create a peaceful planet and prevent the sinister dark forces from wreaking havoc on citizens. Galaxy Life challenges users to compete with friends and strangers in this all-out-for-control battle for the universe. Each player will need to create his or her army by building training facilities, defensive structures, commanding infantries and special forces in order to survive the dark forces. Players can attack enemy colonies to loot them for resources or collaborate to create alliances.

“We’ve created a groundbreaking sci-fi game with great competitive and cooperative elements, along with fantastic characters,” said Marc Metis, President of Digital Chocolate. “Galaxy Life takes the best elements of the strategy and space genres to create an immersive game that players can engage with across different platforms.”

Players can invite friends to compete in a player vs. player battle to see who will reign supreme. Players on Facebook can leverage the social network’s viral mechanisms to share supplies and tips for defeating enemies. On DigitalChocolate.com, gamers can either login in via Facebook or establish their own credentials to enjoy the game’s benefits. Digital Chocolate will be implementing enhancements and upgrades for Galaxy Life in the coming weeks including more ways to interact with friends and new content for the game.
