Digium® Expands Management Team with New Vice President of Global Marketing
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., July 8, 2008 — Digium®, Inc.,
the Asterisk® Company, today announced that Leslie Conway has joined
the company as vice president of global marketing. Conway comes to
Digium from networking and communications equipment leader ADTRAN,
where she was vice president of global marketing for the Enterprise
Division. At Digium, she will head up all marketing activity, as well
as work with the company's channel partners to build a world-class
channel for Digium's Asterisk-based solutions.
Conway spent 17 years at ADTRAN. Previous to her role as vice
president, she served in senior positions responsible for product
marketing, product management and distribution sales as well as
pre-sales technical support and training. Prior to joining ADTRAN,
Conway worked as a product manager at Intergraph Corporation and as a
design engineer for General Electric. She holds a bachelor's degree in
electrical and computer engineering, a master's degree in management
and a master's degree in business administration. Conway was recognized
by ChannelWeb as one of last year's 50 Most Powerful Women of the Channel.
Conway takes over marketing from Bill Miller, who had been responsible
for both marketing and product management. Miller will now focus
exclusively on managing Digium's expanding product line, including all
of the company's hardware, software and appliance families, technology
partners and expanding Digium's open source Asterisk community.
"Over the past year, Digium has substantially broadened its
product offerings and signed on more than 300 channel partners," said
Danny Windham, CEO of Digium. "The market for products and services
based upon open source telephony, and specifically Asterisk-based
solutions, is gaining momentum worldwide. The addition of Leslie Conway
will allow Digium to continue to build upon its leadership position in
this disruptive and growing market segment, and we are pleased that
she's chosen to join our team."
