Ethernity Networks is Awarded a Key Patent on Ethernet MAC
New Ethernet MAC patent extends Ethernity’s IP rights through entire Ethernet/IP aggregation market
LOD, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ethernity Networks Ltd, a leading supplier of FPGA base Multiservice Fabric Flow Processors for Carrier Grade Ethernet appliances, today announced that it has been awarded patent number 7,924,863 by the US Patent Office for a “DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING DATA CHUNKS.” The invention relates to methods and devices for managing data chunks, especially in multi-port aggregation devices, which dramatically decrease the logic needed for multiple-port Ethernet/IP aggregation implementation in FPGA or ASIC. The patent also applies to the support of any other multiple-port design including ATM, PPP or TDM.
“This patent and Ethernity’s previous series of patents are part of Ethernity's innovative state-of-the-art multi-service flow processor that excels in its high throughput, low latency/jitter, low power and low cost,” said Shavit Baruch, Founder and VP R&D of Ethernity.
