Flirtomatic, Inc.
(www.flirtomatic.com), one of the most popular social mobile services used
by young adults, today announced an agreement with MetroPCS Wireless, Inc.,
a subsidiary of MetroPCS Communications, Inc., the nation's leading provider
of unlimited, flat-rate, no signed contract wireless communications service,
under which Flirtomatic has been selected as a preferred mobile social
networking service. The service is accessible via the MetroPCS Mobile Web
Portal.
With over 1.5 million registered users, Flirtomatic is a market leader with
its service available in the U.K., Germany and Australia. Flirtomatic's free
service will now also be available to all MetroPCS customers to meet, flirt,
and have fun online. Flirtomatic is free to use and customers use it by
purchasing FlirtPoints and spending them by promoting themselves, finding
out who has rated them, and by sending virtual gifts (over 4 million were
sent last year). Currently, Flirtomatic's mobile users log in around seven
times and send over 30 messages each day, resulting in over 30 million
messages each month and over 160m WAP page views.
"We're delighted to be working with MetroPCS as our first major partner in
the United States," said Gary Cohen, Flirtomatic's vice president & general
manager of North America. "Flirtomatic has demonstrated in other countries
that our model is very popular and we are excited to launch with the
nation's leading provider of unlimited, flat-rate, no-contract service. We
have seen that as U.S. consumers get to know our service they adopt, use and
spend Flirt Points even more than in other parts of the world."
Metro PCS users who primarily enjoy 3G service will be able to utilize the
Flirtomatic WAP delivery platform across all their handsets. Web access is
also offered as an alternative way to flirt at any time and from anywhere.
