Fox Mobile Distribution Strikes Deal to Integrate Mobile Content on AOL's Winamp

Fox Mobile Distribution (FMD), a unit of Fox Mobile Group, today announced it has signed agreements with AOL Europe and AOL Canada for the newly-launched Winamp version 5.55, one of the world's most popular PC-based media players, to provide mobile ringtones across several European territories and Canada.

Under the agreement, Fox Mobile Distribution ringtone links will be integrated into Winamp media player, enabling its 73 million* users globally to seamlessly discover mobile content while using the media player. Winamp will also feature an integrated Jamba- or Jamster-branded purchase page so users can buy the mobile content they discover without leaving the Winamp media player. Fox Mobile Distribution will ensure that its links throughout Winamp are contextually integrated so that when users click on a link to a particular artist or track they will be offered related ringtones or other highly relevant mobile content.
