Green Advocate Crusades Against e-Waste by Offering Companies Five Easy Ways to Participate

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- There is only one reason that Full Circle Wireless, Inc. (www.fullcirclewireless.com), the leading buyer of used cell phones, would encourage businesses and consumers not to choose recycling as their first option – and that’s because the long time green advocate is offering the American public an even better alternative. Full Circle Wireless is unveiling an innovative, edgy campaign this week at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES) called “Don’t Recycle It – Full Circle It!” (www.dontrecycleit.com). The campaign challenges individuals, small businesses, and even the largest corporations in the U.S. to choose a better option to advance their bottom-line and help save the environment: Turn in their used cell phones and receive cash back.

The Irvine, Calif-based company, which was recently named the 26th fastest growing privately held environmental services firm in the U.S. by Inc. magazine, specializes in the business buy-back of used cell phone inventory – enabling businesses, schools, and community organizations with previously owned cell phones to obtain cash payment for their unwanted equipment.

Full Circle believes that this no-nonsense program offers America an even more advantageous alternative to “just recycling.” When a business chooses to “Full Circle It,” they are helping to keep even more electronic waste (or “e-waste”) out of our nation’s landfills by extending the product’s life cycle and usability. Full Circle will also pay for the shipping to collect the unwanted cellular equipment and then repurpose and “data cleanse” the units for resale on the aftermarket.

If a wireless device is unsalvageable, the company works with one of its responsible recycling partners to appropriately dispose of the unit. Either way, the participating party that has chosen to “Full Circle It” receives cash reimbursement for their used cell phones within 15 short days.

“We wanted to create a slightly tongue-in-cheek and provocative campaign that would grab America’s attention and help educate the public about alternatives to discarding unwanted cellular equipment into the trash,” explained Shelton Basham, CEO of Full Circle. “Our program offers a win-win solution for businesses, consumers and the environment. Donors of previously owned wireless equipment can responsibly dispose of their unwanted products and line their pockets with cash in return – a huge value proposition in this tough economy.”

As part of its “Don’t Recycle It – Full Circle It!” campaign to be unveiled at CES, Full Circle is sharing Five Easy Tips to help businesses and the general public to get involved:

1. Renew it. – NEVER throw a cell phone into the trash can – opt instead for refurbishing it to extend the product lifecycle. Discarded cellular “garbage” becomes just that … instant garbage and e-waste that adds to the more than 350,000 wireless products tossed into our nation’s landfills each day.

2. Delete it. – Help to streamline the refurbishing process by removing a cell phone’s SIM card and erasing the memory. Full Circle will always conduct its own data cleansing process in accordance with electronic privacy policies before sending phones to third-parties for resale, but individuals and businesses can also play a helpful role with this one easy step.

3. Give it. – Give back to the community by participating in Full Circle’s “Cash for Used Cell Phones Fundraising Program.” Full Circle will work with your organization to help create a custom fundraising drive by providing personalized flyer designs, custom collection boxes and free FedEx delivery.

4. Ship it. – Want an easy way to “Full Circle It”? Look up the style and model number of your phone(s) on the Full Circle website (www.fullcirclewireless.com), and send in your used cell phones free of charge (Full Circle will cover the shipping costs) to obtain money back!

5. Spend it. – Say “YES!” to cash back for properly dispensing of your used cell phones. Rechannel money back into your business or organization to cover new expenditures, or find ways to “reinvest” in our planet by using the reimbursement funds to plant a tree, save an animal, or help someone less fortunate.
