FUSIONONE LAUNCHES NETWORK ADDRESS BOOK API TO LEVERAGE MULTI-SERVICE MOBILE SYNC TECHNOLOGY

- FusionOne, the leading provider of mobile phone content portability services, today announced the availability of the Application Programming Interface (API) for its Network Address Book (NAB) solution. The NAB API provides a tool for developers to access centralized contact lists across a wide range of communications services and is a critical component to helping members of the FusionOne Developer Program expand their suite of services.
 
The NAB API specifically enables developers to have easy access to a subscriber's consolidated address book information from mobile, instant messenger, email and social networking sites. NAB utilizes both SyncML and standard Web Services API open standards so developers can integrate quickly and easily right out of the box. By enabling address book access through the FusionOne Developer Program, FusionOne is helping to increase usability, drive service adoption, and create new revenue opportunities for application developers.

With the NAB API, members of the FusionOne Developer Program can utilize Network Address Book to enable a wide range of services, such as providing access to mobile contacts to send text messages from desktop computers, enabling LBS devices to map a street address from information entered in e-mail contact lists, and allowing social networking applications to access mobile numbers found only on a mobile device. The increased access makes it easy for consumers to use these services, increasing user adoption rates and thus lowering the barrier of entry for developers.

The FusionOne Developer Program, which currently has more than 50 active mobile developers, makes available APIs and a developer test environment for developers to create innovative applications and services.
