Groupon Launches iPhone Application
Groupon (http://www.groupon.com), the shopping website that offers a daily deal on the best local goods, services and cultural events in 40 cities nationwide, announces the launch of its official Groupon application for the iPhone and iPod touch.
"The Groupon app makes it easier for customers to get their daily Groupon fix," said Groupon founder Andrew Mason. "Users can buy, redeem and organize their purchases, effectively making the iPhone a Groupon wallet."
Currently available as a free download in the Apple App Store, the Groupon application offers a comprehensive, seamless buying and redemption process for both consumers and merchants. Features of the new Groupon application include:
* Browse Daily Deals: Check out the daily deal in Groupon's 40 cities and buy on the go
* Access Your Account:
* Sign in with your existing Groupon account to find and organize all previous purchases
* Use Facebook Connect to log in, or
* Sign up for a new Groupon account directly through the app
* Redeem Your Groupons: Present Groupons to merchants directly from your screen - no printouts required
* Map Local Groupons in Real-Time: Activate the GPS feature to plot Groupon purchases closest to your current location
